F4 Brake On pressing F4 the sound of the brakes being applied will be heard. At the same time, if the throttle is set to zero or reduced, the loco will slow down as if the brakes have been applied. The rate of braking can be adjusted via CV349. For best results, and to closely simulate the prototype, it is recommended to set the F4 action on your DCC controller to 'trigger' (momentary) action, rather than latching, if your DCC system offers this as an option.Note that with the brake left ON, the locomotive will not accelerate!
F5 light engine On pressing F5 the momentum of the locomotive is reduced (as per CV390). At the same time, the notch boundaries are shifted upwards in order to replicate a locomoivte that is running light, or with a light load.
This project is powered by our Mr Soundguy RealDrive system.
